Italy welcomes South Africa to Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa for this Autumn International. The home team are flying high after they beat Australia in their last match which was their first ever win over the men from Down Under. The visitors on the other hand were left frustrated after they loss to France in controversial circumstances last weekend. Italy look like a different team under the guidance of Coach Kieran Crowley as they started the Autumn internationals with excellent wins over Samoa and the Wallabies. Both wins were achieved with the Azzurri playing an attacking brand of rugby not seen before. They have a back three of Monty Ioane, Ange Capuozzo and Pierre Bruno that can rival any team in world rugby at the moment but it is the arrival of the diminutive fullback Capuozzo which has lit up Italian rugby, scoring two well taken tries last week.

The Springboks have started their year-end tour with two defeats losing by three points to Ireland and then by four points to France. They have only themselves to blame as they had a player sent off early in the last match for a reckless and dangerous challenge. The South Africans will be determined to avoid making it three consecutive losses and will have fresh memories of their 2016 loss to the Italians. The visitors will feel hard done by after some refereeing decisions went against them late in the match when they lost to the French. They will need to bounce back and have selected which is their strongest side so far on tour.
