Defending Davis Cup champions Italy are one match away from another final. They take on Australia on Saturday for a place in the final against either the Netherlands or Germany. Here's our match prediction.
Italy beat Argentina 2-1 in their quarter final. They had to come from behind to get that win after Lorenzo Musetti was beaten in straight sets by Francisco Cerundolo, winning only five games. World number one Jannik Sinner continued his excellent form when losing only three games against Sebastian Baez.
That took the match into a doubles decider with the team of Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini getting a straight sets victory over Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.
Australia defeated the USA 2-1 in their quarter-final. Thanasi Kokkinakis got them off to a great start with a three-set victory over Ben Shelton with the decider going to 16-14 in the tie-break. Their top ranked player Alex de Minaur lost to Taylor Fritz in straight sets and will face Sinner in this semi-final. The Australians won their doubles decider with the team of Ebdon and Thompson defeating Paul and Shelton.
This could go to the doubles, a lot will depend on Musetti in his singles but we see Italy making it to the final.

The defending champions beat Argentina 2-1 in their semi-final with Jannik Sinner winning his singles and then partnering Matteo Berrettini in the doubles decider. Lorenzo Musetti lost his singles match and it could be that Italy play Berrettini in the singles this time.
