The current T20 World champions, India, will look to extend their winning start to the T20I series against the West Indies on Friday in Ranchi. This match at the JSCA International Stadium Complex between the ‘Men in Blue’ and the Windies is likely to see another Shai Hope special with the batsman likely to score over 22.5 runs. India lead the series 1-0 after an eight-wicket win in Lucknow on Tuesday.
Bowling first in the first game, India pegged the Windies back with regular wickets, restricting them to 171 all out in 19.1 overs. All-rounder Naman Dhir took 3 for 31 on his T20I debut, while Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel took two wickets each.
The chase was rocked with early wickets as India fell to 35 for 2 off 3.3 overs, but captain Shreyas Iyer scored his maiden T20I century (102* off 43) to lead them past the line in 14.4 overs.
The Windies will consider it a lost chance, as their batsmen failed to post regular partnerships. Only Shai Hope (52 off 37) and Sherfane Rutherford (56 off 34) played to their potential, with 15 being the next highest individual score. None of the Windies’ bowlers impressed, and only Akeal Hosein had an economy (9.20 rpo) of less than 10 runs per over.

Our India vs West Indies Prediction
West Indies were expected to run India close in the T20Is, but the first game didn’t go per plan. The visitors were blown away by India’s strong batting performance, while the Windies struggled with their batting partnerships. This format presents the best chance for the visitors, though, and they can pick up a win here, provided they can address their consistency.
Hope scored at least 32 runs in six of his last seven innings against India, all formats included. That’s why our India vs West Indies prediction is Shai Hope over 22.5 runs.
