India and the Netherlands will complete their preparation for the 2023 Cricket World Cup when they face off in a warm-up match on Tuesday. This match will be played at Greenfield International Stadium in Kerala, India. The hosts are the number-one-ranked ODI side in the world, while the visitors are 14th. India are carrying solid momentum into the World Cup. They come into this match fresh off a  2-1 series win over Australia and wrapping up the Asia Cup over Sri Lanka. Shubman Gill has been in stellar form leading up to the tournament. The 24-year-old is now ranked second in the world. In his two innings against Australia, he scored 74 and 104, respectively, and sat out the final match. Virat Kohli is a doubt for the match, having requested special leave due to a personal emergency. Undoubtedly, India are the overwhelming favourites here and will be looking for a solid performance to get them fired up for their opening match against Australia on October 8. 

Meanwhile, the Netherlands qualified for the World Cup in dramatic circumstances beating Scotland in Zimbabwe. They won the toss and opted to bowl, but found themselves in a position where they had to chase down 278 runs in 44 overs to secure qualification for the World Cup. While they went on to win the match, they did lose to Sri Lanka in the final by 128 runs. Since then, the Netherlands have played one warm-up match against Australia which was washed out. The Dutch team is the biggest outsiders and the lowest-ranked team heading into the World Cup. A win here seems very unlikely.
