The final fixture this Thursday at the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup will come from the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, where reigning champions India will be taking on underdogs Namibia. The Men in Blue lead Group A with two points, while the Eagles are in fourth place after the first round of games. Check out our match prediction below!
India are the red-hot favourites to defend their World Cup title and become the first nation to be crowned kings of the shortest format for a third time. Suryakumar Yadav’s side is ranked number one in the ICC’s T20I team standings and have already notched up their first win in the competition, while holding a solid net run rate of +1.450.
Aside from South Africa, Namibia is the only other team representing Africa in this tournament and is one of the biggest underdogs, with some bookies pricing them as high as 2500/1 to claim the title. This is the type of David vs Goliath clash that only a World Cup can provide - let’s get into the key stats!

India - Namibia: Form Analysis
India began their title defence at the 2026 T20 World Cup with a tense opening victory over the USA at the Wankhede Stadium. They won the match by 29 runs, but it was far from a convincing performance.
The Men in Blue suffered a top-order collapse in that fixture, slumping to 46/4 in the powerplay before their skipper produced a superb knock and got the side to a respectable total of 161/9 in their 20 overs.
India have now won nine of their last 10 T20I matches, with the only exception being a loss to New Zealand last month after they had already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
India won their only previous match against this opponent by nine wickets in 2021!
Meanwhile, Namibia secured qualification for the T20 World Cup by beating Tanzania by 63 runs in the Africa Regional Final. This is the fourth time they are featuring in this global competition.
The Eagles faced fellow Associate nation, the Netherlands, in their opening match of the tournament on Monday, but they lost the game by seven wickets and with just over two overs to spare.
Namibia have secured six wins in their last 10 matches across all competitions, including a remarkable four-wicket victory over neighbours South Africa back in October last year.

India & Namibia Squad Analysis
After their top-order collapse, Suryakumar Yadav steadied the ship for his side in the opening match against the USA, scoring a crucial 89* in 49 deliveries to help his side post a defendable total.
Notably, the number one-ranked T20I batsman in the world, Abhishek Sharma, was dismissed for a Golden Duck in the first match, as was Shivam Dube, and both will be looking to make amends in this one.
India’s star pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah was forced to pull out of the team’s opener due to an illness, but reports in the lead-up to this fixture suggest that he should return to the starting 11 this week
Yadav recorded the joint-highest score of any player in the opening round of matches!
Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton stood out for Namibia in their first match of the tournament, scoring a solid 42 runs from 38 balls, which provided his side some momentum in the middle overs against the Dutch.
The area the Eagles will need to improve massively for this match is their bowling, having only taken three wickets in their opener, shared among Bernard Scholtz, Ruben Trumpelman and Loftie-Eaton.

Our India vs Namibia Prediction
Unsurprisingly, India are huge favourites in this clash, so much so that several bookmakers are not even offering odds on the Men in Blue to win this match, while the Eagles are available at around 15/1.
Abhishek Sharma had a disappointing start to his T20 World Cup campaign, and the number one-ranked batter in the shortest format will be determined to make amends here. Given Namibia’s bowling performance in their first game, we fancy India’s opener to produce a big knock. Our India vs Namibia prediction is Abhishek Sharma over 31.5 runs.
