Holger Rune vs Novak Djokovic Prediction & Betting Tips - Paris, France

Defending champion Novak Djokovic taks on Holger Rune in the Paris Masters final. Djokovic is the sixth seed in this tournament and world ranked eighth. He can move up to seventh if winning this final.  He's already qualified for the Tour Finals and a win here will be his fourth tournament win in a row and a fifth of 2022. He's only lost one set on his way to this final. That was in his semi-final against Stefanos Tsitsipas in which he had to go to a final set tie-break to get the win.  He's only had one previous meeting with Holger Rune. That was in the US Open last year and he won that match in four sets. One was lost on a tie-break but the three he won saw him lose just four games.

Holger Rune is in his fourth successive final and he's up to 12th in the world rankings. Beating Djokovic will take him up to 10th and also see him become one of the two alternates in the Tour Finals. That possibility came up when Carlos Alcaraz announced he'd withdrawn from the Tour Finals event in which he'd have been the top seed. Rune has a big incentive therefore to win this match but he faces his toughest challenge of the year. Rune has won two titles this year and the most recent one of those was in Stockholm last month. He probably wasn't expecting to reach this final when a set down to Stan Wawrinka in the first round. He fought back well though and since then has beaten four seeds. Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev, Carlos Alcaraz (who retired in the second set) and in his semi-final, Felix Auger-Aliassime have all been beaten. He may well give Djokovic problems but it's the Serb who can win this final in straight sets.
