Harlequins host ninth placed Gloucester in the English Premiership. After losing away at new leaders Bath on December 23, Harlequins are in sixth place in the English Premiership. That puts them six points behind the league leaders but only two places and a couple of points adrift of the final play-off position. Now they host Gloucester and aiming to continue their good home record. They have won three of their four home fixtures in the English Premiership this season. Their most recent home fixture saw them get an excellent 36-3 win over Sale Sharks who were top of the table at the time. There have also been home wins over Exeter Chiefs and Newcastle Falcons. Their only home league loss has been to Saracens who beat them 38-10 in mid-November. European games played recently saw them win away at Racing 92 but lose to Stade Toulousian at home.

Gloucester only have Newcastle Falcons below them in the English Premiership table. Of their nine league games this season, seven have been lost with only a couple of victories. Their most recent fixture produced a 31-29 home loss to Northampton Saints. They trailed by ten points at half time in that game and despite a good second half comeback, they slumped to another defeat. That loss was their seventh consecutive defeat in the English Premiership. Their last league win was back in October when winning away at bottom-of-the table Newcastle Falcons. The only other league win for Gloucester was a home win over Harlequins. On the road they have lost their last three league games with 100 points being conceded.
