After a fierce league-phase campaign, we are off to the play-offs in the 2026 Currie Cup with Suzuki Griquas welcoming Fidelity ADT Lions to Suzuki Stadium in the first semi-final on Sunday. There is no love lost between the two teams, who have developed a fierce rivalry since last season. However, Griquas' dominant run in the league-phase this season and strong showing in their last two meetings with Lions put them firmly on the front foot here. Our prediction backs the hosts to cruise to victory. 

Right after their shock defeat to Stormers XXIII on the opening weekend, Suzuki Griquas have been unstoppable! They have won all six of their subsequent outings to finish four points clear at the top, including a 48–17 away victory over Boland Kavaliers in their final league-phase match. 

Notably, the defending champions have not only won their last six matches, but have also done so by convincing margins, with five of those six victories coming by no fewer than 12 points. They have also been difficult to beat at home, winning each of their last 10 matches at Suzuki Stadium since 2024. 

Fidelity ADT Lions sneaked into the play-offs after defeating Stormers XXIII 36–12 in the final round of the league phase. They have failed to win four of their seven fixtures in the competition this season and have lost their last two encounters with Suzuki Griquas.
