Deepak Chahar, Matheesha Pathirana, and Maheesh Theekshana all did their part with the ball and confined the Capitals to 146/9 in their 20 overs. With that win, CSK have recorded eight wins, five losses, and one no-result in the tournament, edging out Lucknow Super Giants for second with a better net run rate of +0.652 versus +0.284. The Super Kings have never beaten the Titans in any of their three previous encounters, and in each of those matches, they lost the toss and were made to bat first by the Titans. CSK is ranked second for runs scored in the final three overs, while their opponents are ranked first for dot balls and wickets. The toss could be crucial here, and if CSK manages to win it, we will likely see them bowl first, which could be a telling factor in the final outcome.
