Eighth placed Gloucester Rugby are home to bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons. The home side are seven points clear of their opponents who finally won an English Premiership match last weekend. Here's our match prediction.
Gloucester have only won one of their five league games this season. That was an away win at Bristol and both of their home league fixtures have ended in defeat. They lost to leaders Saracens by nine points and then 55-31 to Bath.
Last weekend saw them in an exciting away match at Leicester Tigers. They had the lead at one stage but ended up losing the game by three points. Their only league victory has been a thrilling 44-41 win at Bristol.
Newcastle Falcons lost all their games in the English Premiership last season. They also lost the first four this term but last week beat Exeter Chiefs 24-18 at home. Away from home though they have lost both of their league matches this season.
The Falcons lost 43-10 at Leicester and 28-14 away to Harlequins. Last season saw them beaten by 40 points away at Gloucester. We don't expect such a wide margin this weekend but a bet on Gloucester with a -18.5 points handicap is our suggestion for this fixture.
