Scottish outfit Glasgow Warriors play host to French heavyweights RC Toulon in Friday’s Champions Cup clash. An inconsistent start to the Champions Cup has left Warriors fourth in Group 3 while Toulon are rock bottom without victory. A win will ensure a Round of 16 ticket for Warriors while Toulon will need victory and other results go their way. RC Toulon are having a season to forget in the Champions Cup having suffered three straight defeats. The three-time Champions Cup winners face an uphill battle to progress to the knockout phases with qualification out of their hands. The visitors will have one eye on Aviron Bayonnais’ clash against Exeter Chiefs with the hope the latter can win. Their defeats have been against Northampton Saints, Exeter Chiefs and Munster. In the Top 14 they have also had patchy form, and they sit fifth with 32 points from 12 games. They will need to dig deep to maintain their playoff position with Pau, Castres Olympique and Stade Rochelais breathing down their neck.
