The Chile Open top seed Francisco Cerundolo will face off with Yannick Hanfmann in the first semi-final at the event. This will be the seventh meeting between the two, with the winner meeting Luciano Darderi or Sebastian Baez in the title match. Read on for our prediction.

This will be the second meeting between these two in Santiago. They squared off here last year, with Hanfmann suffering a second-round defeat against the Argentine.

Three times in their six meetings, the German failed to win a set. That is a stat Hanfmann will be keen on changing, having only lost one set in Chile this season. That was in the quarter-finals, where he won in three sets against Vilius Gaubas.

Hanfmann will be disadvantaged by having played close to three hours more than Cerundolo in Santiago. On the fifth attempt, Hanfmann has made the semis here, and he is 72nd in the live rankings.
