France welcomes Australia to the Stade de France for this Autumn International. The home team come into this match on the back of a brilliant run that has seen them win their last ten matches. They are justifiably the favourites for next year’s World Cup that they will be hosting. Their win in this year’s Six Nations underlined their ambition to win their first ever World Cup. They most recent matches was played against Japan in a two test series which they comfortably won, winning both matches even though they took a weakened squad to Japan. They have most of their big guns back for this match headlined by captain and World Player of the Year Anton Dupont. France have attacking threats all around the park and will be want to play an expansive game against a struggling Australian side. They will be out for revenge as they lost their last home match against the Wallabies back in 2016.

Australia come into this match with loads of confidence after their narrow 16-15 over Scotland in their last match. It was far from a convincing performance and needed a missed penalty in the final minute from Blair Kinghorn to claim the win. The victory ended a run of three straight losses in the Rugby Championship. The return of former skipper Michael Hooper definitely had a positive impact on the team and they will again look to him for inspiration. Australia have only won three of their last nine matches and will be looking for an instant improvement as the World Cup is under a year away.
