Club Brugge are the bookmakers' favourites for the league title at the start of the season. Although the Brugge outfit failed to win the domestic title last year, losing out to Union Saint-Gilloise, they will be out for revenge this season.
Before the season kicks off, we're giving the second most successful club in the Belgian league a run for their money, and they could win their 20th JPL and earn a second star next year. Our 2025-2026 Jupiler Pro League prediction: Belgian champions Club Brugge!

Football prediction on the Top 2 of the Jupiler Pro League: who will qualify for the Champions League?
This season, in addition to the future champion, the team finishing second after the championship playoffs phase will have the chance to secure a spot in the Champions League for the 2026-27 campaign (third qualifying round).
And the reigning champions, continuing their fine form of recent years, could well take second place and maintain their place among Belgium's top clubs. Our prediction is as follows: Union Saint Gilloise to finish second in the Jupiler Pro League 2025-26!
Which JPL club will qualify for the Europa League?
The eventual third-placed Jupiler Pro League club following the championship playoffs will qualify for the UEFA Europa League for the 2026-27 season (second qualifying round). And, in this fight to qualify for Europe’s second-tier competition, we're likely to find a number of JPL clubs, including Antwerp, Genk, Anderlecht and La Gantoise.
We'd give a slight edge to Genk, before the start of the financial year, who even played for the title last year by finishing first in the regular season before collapsing during the play-offs. Our prediction: Genk to qualify for the Europa League!
Which JPL club will qualify for the Conference League?
As for the third European Cup, the club finishing 4th in this year's Jupiler Pro League will be entitled to take part in the next UEFA Europa Conference League (play-off for the second qualifying round). And this cup is not taken lightly by Belgian teams, as La Gantoise and Anderlecht reached the quarter-finals three years ago, while Brugge reached the semi-finals two years ago and and Cercle Brugge lost in the last 16 last year!
As you can see, taking part in a European Cup remains a major goal for many Belgian clubs. It should be noted that the winner of the cup also qualifies. As with the Europa League qualification, it's still very difficult to make a prediction for July 2025, but we'd give Anderlecht a slight edge, as their experience and quality players could put them in the running. The Brussels club had a fine season last year after a number of difficult years, finishing fourth, and we think they could well continue their run in the Belgian top four.
It should be noted that the club that wins the playoffs 2 will also take part in the Conference League, but in the first qualifying round. Our prediction: Anderlecht to qualify for the Conference League!
Relegation prediction: which Jupiler League club will go down?
At the very bottom of the standings, the battle is quite different. Many clubs are fighting to avoid dropping to the Challenger Pro League the following season. Once again this season, the fight for survival in the Belgian top flight will be fiercely contested, with a twist for this season. In preparation for the move from 16 to 18 clubs for the 2026-2027 season, no club will be relegated directly, and only the last-placed club will play off for survival against the winner of the Challenge Pro League promotion play-off.
As you will have gathered, there will be one or no clubs relegated to the second division for the 2025-2026 season in Belgium, which is not going to make the fight for survival any easier. To finish in last place in the JPL, promoted RAAL La Louviere will be hard pressed to compete. Our prediction for the relegation: RAAL La Louviere finishes last!
Jupiler Pro League top scorer prediction: which player will score the most goals?
It's not just the collective team objectives that are in play. There's also an individual title that's always hotly contested in the JPL: that of the top scorer! Who will net the most goals in Belgium’s top flight in this new 2025-26 edition? Below is a list of players to watch this season:
- Kasper Dolberg (Anderlecht)
- Tolu Arokodare (Genk)
- Chrístos Tzólis (Club Brugge)
- Promise David (Union Saint-Gilloise)
- Nikola Štulić (Charleroi)
- Adriano Bertaccini (Saint-Truidense)
- Franjo Ivanovic (Union Saint-Gilloise)
The competition therefore looks stronger than ever this year. A number of players, including Promise David, Kasper Dolberg and Chrístos Tzólis, are expected to battle it out
Beginners Guide to how the Jupiler Pro League works
The Jupiler Pro League, Belgium's top division football league, pits the 16 best Belgian teams against each other in a system of home and away matches, followed by a play-off.
Between July and May, each team plays an opponent twice, once at home and once away, before competing in the play-offs. In all, there are 30 matches in the regular season, plus 10 more for play-offs 1 and 2.
How do the Playoffs work in Belgium?
Find a detailed description of the three playoffs below:
- Playoffs 1: includes clubs ranked 1-6 at the end of the regular season. The points are then halved, and the teams play 10 additional matches.
- Playoffs 2: includes clubs ranked 7-12 at the end of the regular season. The points are then halved, and the teams play 10 additional matches.
- Playoffs 3: No playoffs 3 exceptionally for this year 2025/2026.
At the end of the season (and therefore the playoff phase), many places have an impact on the future of clubs:
- The club ranked first is Belgian champion and qualifies for the Champions League
- The club ranked 2nd qualifies for the Champions League
- The club ranked 3rd and the winner of the Belgian Cup qualify for the Europa League.
- The winner of the play-off (match between the fourth-placed team in play-off 1 and the winner of play-off 2) moves up to the Conference League
- the club ranked 16th plays a play-off for survival against a D1B club
As you will have understood, there are therefore many issues in this Belgian championship. And that's why the Jupiler Pro League forecast has grown more and more over the years in the UK.
How to make good predictions on all Jupiler Pro League matches?
To make a winning prediction on the Jupiler Pro League, several factors must be considered. This requires in particular a good knowledge of the championship and how it works, which we discussed in the paragraph just above, but also by good practice that the bettor must adopt. Specialist of the JPL for a few years, SportyTrader and its experts give you their major advice in order to make a good prediction on the Belgian championship:
- Check the form of Jupiler Pro League teams
- Take into account the form/absence of JPL star players
- Pay attention to games without stakes at the end of the season
- Analyze the odds and bet on the most interesting
- Analyze the latest stats in the Belgian league
These very important tips according to our experts if you want to predict Jupiler Pro League matches are obviously not the only ones, but those that you absolutely must respect. Find the details of each of them below.
Consult the current form of the Jupiler Pro League teams
This is certainly the advice that is given first, and this for all competitions and all sports. Indeed, in order to offer the most reliable Jupiler Pro League prediction possible, it will be essential to consult the form offered by the two teams concerned by your bet. This is therefore the case for the championships, and it will also always be in the Jupiler Pro League.
For example, a team like Club Brugge remains on 4 defeats in a row and faces Kortrijk, which has a string of good results and has just won 5 football matches? On paper, the two clubs are not at the same level and the Club has a much better squad. However, the form of the two teams on the latest results offered will not give the same trend, and it will always be necessary to favor a team in form, and this for all Division 1A matches.
Take into account the form/absence of Key JPL players
The second tip is also very important. Indeed, as we know, football is played with 11 players but there are always players more important than others in a workforce. It will then be important to target them for each squad, then to follow their current form or their potential injury or absence.
Indeed, seeing that the best player of a team is out of shape, injured or suspended will prevent you from losing a certain number of bets, but also from making better quality predictions. Don't forget, before each match, to take into account the squad called up by the coach, and the form proposed by the players during the last matches.
Pay attention to games without stakes at the end of the season
The new format of the championship with the three different playoffs should, logically, limit games without stakes for certain teams. But, we saw it again last year, even in the playoffs for the title, Club Brugge, for example, was far too far to grab the top places, even with the points halved.
And the people of Bruges, almost guaranteed to finish in fourth place, therefore had almost nothing to play for. You have to be wary of this type of encounter, since the players can either completely miss out, or be released since there is no pressure. So beware of trap matches at the end of the season!
Analyze the odds and bet on the most interesting
Fourth advice: it is obviously necessary to analyze the odds and enter the most interesting on your bet slip. Indeed, the bookmakers shape the odds themselves, and there may be differences from one operator to another. And the most popular don't always offer the best!
It will then be important to take the most interesting, to earn more money in the event of a successful bet. If you find odds at 1.90 and another at 1.95 for the same bet, why take the former? You would lose £5 in the event of a winning bet with a stake of £100! Do not hesitate to register with as many bookmakers as possible, and not just the best site, in order to ensure that you can benefit from the best odds, but also from everyone's superb welcome bonuses!
Analyze the latest stats in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League
Finally, it will also be important to analyze the statistics of the championship on which you wish to bet, in this case the Jupiler Pro League. First, it will be interesting to see the overall statistics recorded on last year's edition, which you will find a little further down this page. This will give you an overview of the type of championship that awaits you.
Secondly, the statistics of the last matches played by the teams concerned by your bet will also be very interesting for you. Indeed, a team can have bad results for 2 or 3 games, but remain dominating and lack luck. The change of dynamic should then arrive soon.

Indeed, you can see that the championship remains quite offensive compared to the European average, with a decent goal average. The “Over 2.5 goals” or "Both teams to score" bets which can be tried if the analysis recommends it, but which should not be overdone. Even if nothing is guaranteed in advance, of course.
