Serie A action continues on Sunday morning with Fiorentina hosting Lazio. I Viola are yet to win a game this season and manager Raffaele Palladino will be hoping to end that run here. Le Aquile have started solidly under Marco Baroni, but have played just one game on the road, which is where they suffered their sole loss this season. Who will our prediction favour in this even-looking match?

Drawn games have been Fiorentina's problem this season. In their six competitive games, they have drawn five of them. That includes draws with Parma (1-1), Venezia (0-0), and Monza (2-2) in Serie A. Last weekend, Fiorentina lost 3-2 away to Atalanta in a game that saw all five goals scored in a dramatic first-half. 

Manager Palladino will know his team needs to convert these close games into more wins; otherwise, they will continue to languish in the lower reaches of the table. Currently, I Viola occupy the 16th spot in Serie A, ten places behind their opponents.

Lazio began the season well with a 3-1 win over Venezia before losing 2-1 to Udinese in their sole away Serie A game. A 2-2 draw at home with AC Milan followed before last weekend’s 2-1 home win over Verona moved them to sixth in Serie A. 

Marco Baroni’s team have struggled for consistency this season. However, they have scored a goal in every game they have played this season, but on the negative side, they have also conceded in every game they have contested. 

Only Atalanta matches have seen more goals per game than Lazio in Serie A this season, which suggests fans at the Artemio Franchi stadium will be in for a treat on Sunday morning.
