Fiji clash with Scotland in the Nations Championship third round at Murrayfield on Saturday. The Flying Fijians have lost their two opening matches in the competition (both played in the UK) by heavy margins, and are clear underdogs against a Scotland side that has won its last three Tests on Scottish soil by double digits. Therefore, our prediction here supports a comfortable victory for the Scots.
Fiji’s Nations Championship tour of the United Kingdom has not gone as planned. They began their campaign with a heavy 19-point defeat to Wales in Cardiff City Stadium. Their second fixture ended with an even more crushing 73–8 loss to England in Liverpool – the heaviest defeat in the competition so far.
Notably, last week's humiliating defeat extended the Flying Fijians’ away Test losing streak to six, five of which by huge margins. Mick Byrne’s side have now fallen to four straight Test defeats to higher-ranked opposition, averaging a 29.3-point losing margin per contest.
Scotland kicked off their Nations Championship campaign by stunning Argentina 47–38 in Cordoba before falling 42–28 to World No. 1 South Africa in Pretoria last week. Gregor Townsend’s men will be confident of bouncing back, having won four of their last six Tests. They enter this clash off the back of three straight Test wins on Scottish soil, all of which by double digits.

Our Fiji vs Scotland Prediction
Fiji have struggled to stay competitive against higher-ranked teams and there is little to suggest the trend will change on Saturday. Crushing defeats in the Flying Fijians' opening two games in the Nations Championship, coupled with wide-margin losses in each of their last four Tests against elite opposition make it difficult to fancy their chances of turning things around in Edinburgh.
Scotland boast impressive wins in their last three Tests on Scottish soil and look well-positioned for another commanding victory. Our Fiji vs Scotland prediction: Scotland –18.5 handicap.
