Felix Auger Aliassime vs Maximilian Marterer Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Munich Open

Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on Maximilian Marterer in round one of the BMW Open in Munich. The winner of this match will  be up against either Taro Daniel or Christopher O'Connell (both unseeded) in round two of this clay court tournament. Auger-Aliassime is 34th in the live rankings so will want a good run over the next few weeks to secure a seeding at Roland Garros. Not having to face a seed until the last eight (scheduled to be Jan-Lennard Struff) gives him a chance to earn some much-needed ranking points. The Canadian lost to Lorenzo Sonego in round two of the Monte Carlo Masters last week. He's only got past the last 16 of a tournament once this year, that was the indoor hard court event in Montpellier. 

Maximilian Marterer is down at 101st in the live rankings. The German has been as high as 45th in the rankings but that was achieved six years ago. The 28-year-old is playing his third ATP clay court tournament of the year. He's so far played in Estoril and Monte Carlo but is still waiting for his first win. In Monte Carlo, he lost to Christopher O'Connell  (who also beat him in Dubai) n three sets and could face him in round two. His only win on clay this year came in a Challenger Tour event held in Naples but he then withdrew from his second round match. We tip Auger-Aliassime to win this match.
