Federico Coria vs Matteo Berrettini Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Buenos Aires

Matteo Berrettini makes his season debut at the Argentina Open, where he will compete as the eighth seed. He will face off with another season debutant, Federico Coria, in the first round, with this being their fourth career meeting. Read on for our prediction of this match. 

Coria is breaking a six-month absence from competitive play. The Argentine hasn’t taken to the court since an early exit at the Bronn Challenger back in August due to an elbow injury. 

As a former Buenos Aires semi-finalist, he will be confident of making a winning start in his return. A lack of playing time has seen Coria, a winner of almost 600 matches on clay, drop out of the ATP’s top 300.

Though he is also making his season debut, Matteo Berrettini hasn’t stayed that long away from a tennis court like Coria. The Italian, who ended his 2025 season in November, has played two exhibition matches this season, winning once. 

Falling to Tristan Schoolkate in his most recent outing, Berrettini saw a four-match winning run come to an end. 

Currently the world number 58, Berrettini, a 10-time tour champion, has never lost against Coria and defeated him most recently at the 2021 French Open.
