England and the West Indies will face off at the Wankhede Stadium in Match 15 of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup in midweek. The Windies and the Poms are first and second in Group C, respectively. Let’s get into the match prediction.
England survived a massive scare in their opening match of the T20 World Cup, as they managed to fend off an incredible fight by Nepal to win their first game by just four runs.
Sam Curren was the pick of the English bowlers, conceding just 27 runs while picking up the key wicket of Dipendra Singh. Jacob Bethell and Harry Brook both scored half-centuries.
England won their two warm-up matches against Sri Lanka and are now on an eight-match win streak in T20Is dating back to September last year.
Meanwhile, the West Indies opened their T20 World Cup campaign with a fairly convincing 35-run victory over Scotland at Eden Gardens last week, which saw them take top spot in the group.
Shimron Hetmeyer led the charge with the bat, scoring 64 off 36 balls to help the team to a total of 182/5. Romario Shepard made history by picking up a hat-trick en route to 5/20 in just three overs.
The Windies have not been in the best form in T20s lately, winning just three of their last 10 games. They also lost three matches against England in the shortest format last year.
