Emma Raducanu is back at the Queen’s Club Championship and begins her tournament against qualifier Anna Blinkova. Meeting for the first time, the two will square off in the first round. Raducanu’s opening round record hasn’t been great, and our prediction here won’t favor her.

Raducanu earned a quarter-final finish on her debut here last season and is defending 98 points. The Brit will have to be at her very best to at least equal last season’s result, something she hasn’t been able to do in a while.

The 23-year-old has struggled with her form all year. She has won just seven of 16 fixtures and hasn’t managed back-to-back victories since a runner-up finish in Cluj back in February.

Raducanu lost three consecutive fixtures to conclude the clay season and starts her week 46th in the live ranking.

Blinkova was in great form in the qualifying rounds and will hope to carry on with her strong start to the week. The Russian, who is making her London debut, won both of her qualifiers without dropping a set.

To reach the main draw, she outdueled Donna Vekic, a five-time tour finalist on grass. With the two victories, she has improved to 10 wins in 26 outings this term and jumped to 104th in the live ranking.
