Round one of the International de Strasbourg sees wild card Diane Parry take on unseeded Leylah Annie Fernandez. This is an outdoor clay court tournament and the winner will face either eighth-seed Liudmila Samsonova or unseeded Linda Noskova in round two. Here's our match prediction.

Fenandez is at 28th in the live rankings so should be seeded at Roland Garros. The Canadian has made a slow start to her clay court season. Only two of her five matches in three tournaments have been won.

Her most recent tournament was in Rome where Fernandez was beaten in straight sets by Marta Kostyuk in her second match. This is her second meeting with Parry and the Frenchwoman won the first but that was played on a hard court.

Diane Parry is down at 105th in the live rankings but was given a wild card so avoided qualifying. Four of her ten clay court matches played this year have been won. After failing to win either of the two hard court matches she played, Parry then lost three successive matches on clay.

Parry is yet to get past round two of a tournament this year. Her last two matches have been lost, most recently being beaten by Hailey Baptiste in Rome.
