In form, Diana Shnaider will face Fanny Stollar in their first round match at the WTA Budapest Open, also known as the Budapest Grand Prix. Fanny Stollar, the 25-year-old Hungarian, will have home support in Budapest, but the odds are firmly against her . In contrast, Shnaider has won 31 of 45 matches this year, often against higher-quality opponents, making the contrast in their recent performances easily apparent.
Stollar's last performance saw her lose 6-4, 6-2 to Leyre Romero Gormaz in the Round of 16 at the W75 tournament in Olomouc back in the middle of June.
The winner of this match will go on to face either qualifier Ekaterina Makarova or wildcard entrant Timea Babos in the second round.
