The Detroit Pistons did not have the best start to the 2025-26 NBA regular season, recording their first loss against the Chicago Bulls (115-111). 

Their response to that setback was nothing short of satisfying as they won two consecutive matches against the Rockets and the Celtics before losing 116-95 against the Cavaliers.

The Pistons' recent match resulted in a 135-116 home win over the Orlando Magic. Cade Cunningham was the man of the moment, leading the team with a game-high 30 points. He also had six rebounds and 10 assists. 

After five games, results clearly show that the Dallas Mavericks have been inconsistent since the start of the 2025-26 NBA regular season. They have a 2-3 record heading into this clash. 

The Mavericks began with two consecutive defeats before seeing off the threat of the Toronto Raptors in a 139-129 home victory. In their recent match, they managed to beat the Indiana Pacers 107-105.

With their five-game homestand over, a change of scenery sees them eyeing a second consecutive win. However, their last away match ended in a 120-106 defeat against the Grizzlies on 19 April.
