Denmark continue their bid to win a third successive Men's World Handball Championship. They take on Hungary in the quarter finals  At one point it looked as if they might end up playing European champions Sweden in the quarter finals. However, the Danes avoided meeting the last team to beat them with a win over Egypt on Monday to finish top of Group IV in the main round. The Danes won that match 30-25 with both Gidsel (the fourth highest scorer in this competition) and Pytlick (17 goals in his last three games) scoring eight apiece. Denmark have now only gone 25 world championship finals matches without defeat, though Croatia did hold them to a draw last week.

Hungary have had a tough route to this Men's World Handball Championship quarter final. They only finished third in their preliminary group with wins over South Korea and Iceland before being beaten by Portugal. Only two points were carried into the main round and their chances of qualification for the last eight weren't looking good when losing 37-28 to Sweden. Wins over Brazil and Cape Verde took them up to second place behind Sweden and into the quarter finals for the fourth time in five tournaments.  This is going to be tough for them though and we suggest backing Denmark to win on a -4.5 goal handicap.
