Daniil Medvedev vs Jiri Lehecka Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Mutua Madrid Open

Third seed Daniil Medvedev is in his first ever Madrid Masters quarter-final. He takes on 30th seeded Jiri Lehecka with the winner facing either top seed Jannik Sinner or unseeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the last four. The Russian hasn't the greatest of clay court records and has never made it past the last eight at Roland Garros. He's had a consistent year on hard courts in 2024 and that's why he's second in the Live ATP Race. So far in Madrid, he's won three matches but the first two went to a final set. Unseeded Matteo Arnaldi and 25th seed Sebastian Korda both won the first set against him before Medvedev fought back. It was smoother progress in round four as he beat the 17th seeded Alexander Bublik in straight sets.

Lehecka has never beaten Medvedev with their only meeting behind at Wimbledon last year. That didn't go well for Lehecka as he lost the first two sets and then retired. The Czech was ranked 31st in the last listings but is up to 26th in the live rankings. Beating Medvedev could see him go as high as 22nd. He's 20th in the Live ATP Race and will rise another four places if reaching the semi-finals in Madrid. He won a hard court tournament in Adelaide in January and also reached two other quarter-finals but all on hard courts. This is his first clay court tournament of the year and Medvedev is the first seed he's met. Wins have come over two qualifiers (Medjedovic and Monteiro) and then he beat Rafael Nadal in straight sets. We go for Medvedev to get the win here.
