Danielle Collins vs Elena Rybakina Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Miami

Danielle Collins has advanced to her first-ever WTA 1000 final. She has been in exceptional form on home soil and will now hope to crown it all off with a title triumph. The American has won her last five rounds here without dropping a set. Only compatriot Bernarda Pera, in the first round, took her all the way. She hasn’t faced off though with a top 10-seeded player up until now. Collins got the better of giant killer Ekaterina Alexandrova in the semifinals. She relinquished five games in the contest to earn her 19th win in 26 outings this season. Before her run in Miami, Collins’ best results this season were quarterfinal finishes in Doha and Austin. Advancing to the final has propelled her a massive 25 places in the live ranking to 28th. This is Collins’ fourth career tour final and the first since losing the Australian Open final two seasons ago. She is a two-time tour champion. Collins defeated Rybakina in straight sets in their first-ever duel three seasons ago.

Elena Rybakina has advanced to more than quadruple the tour finals that Collins has. She has however not dominated as she would have liked and has lost more than she has won. The world number four, who lost in the final here last season, has managed seven wins in 17 final appearances at tour level. Four of her wins however have come in the last year or so and this makes her a hot favorite against Collins. The Kazakh has been one of the in-form players in the circuit this season and has so far compiled a 22-3 record. She has made it to three finals, winning in Abu Dhabi and Brisbane and finishing as runner-up in Doha. Rybakina, a two-time WTA 1000 champion, has however not been flawless in her run to the final here. In her five rounds, she has been forced into a decider four times. Only Madison Keys was defeated in straight sets in the fourth round. In her defence, Rybakina’s path to the final has been more adverse. She defeated three-time former Miami champion Victoria Azarenka in the semifinals and world number seven Maria Sakkari in the quarters. Rybakina has won the last three meetings with Collins with the latest showdown taking place earlier this year in Abu Dhabi.
