Cristina Bucsa will face Kamilla Rakhimova in the quarterfinals of the Copa Colsanitas in Bogota. The Spanish fourth seed has made serene progress through the tournament winning her first round game against qualifier Xiaodi You 6-1, 7-5 and then made light work of Germany's Jule Niemeier defeating her 6-4,6-1. Bucsa has had a positive hard court season so far, reaching the quarter finals in Abu Dhabi and the R16 in Adelaide, both times losing to top seed Elena Rybakina. Eighth seed Kamilla Rakhimova has had to battle her way into the quarterfinals. She is currenrly ranked 106th in the Live Rankings and her two wins here mean that she has won five of her last ten matches. She has reached one final on clay, but was defeated in that final by Anhelina Kalinina in Zagreb in April 2021.
