Christian Garin vs Taylor Fritz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Munich Open

Third seed Taylor Fritz takes on unseeded Cristian Garin for a place in the final of the BMW Open in Munich. Fritz climbed a place to 14th in the live rankings after beating Jack Draper on Friday. That was a tough match for the American who lost the first set. He drew level and won the match via a third set tie-break. Fritz is now one match away from reaching his first ever clay court final. One ATP event has been won by Fritz this year but that was on a hard court. His first clay court match of the year was lost to Lorenzo Musetti in Monte Carlo last week. It’s gone better in Munich with a straight sets win over Alejandro Moro Canas before beating Draper. This is the third match between Fritz and Garin and it's 1-1 at present. Both were played on clay with Garin winning in Houston two years ago and Fritz in Madrid last year.

Cristian Garin is only two wins away from winning this title for the second time.  Does he believe in history repeating itself? In 2019 he beat Alexander Zverev on his way to winning this title. Friday saw him do that again as he beat the world number five (and top seed in this tournament) in straight sets. Garin is back in the top 100 after his win over the German rising to 92nd. His clay court form was poor earlier in the year in South America. It’s been much better in recent weeks though. He got to a Challenger Tour quarter-final and then the last four in Estoril. Only one set has been dropped by Garin so far this week. That was when he had to come from behind to get past Alex Michelsen. He's had three good wins this week and we tip him to get another one on Saturday.
