The round of 16 in the ATP Shanghai Masters sees top seed Carlos Alcaraz taking on 16th-seeded Grigor Dimitrov. A spot in the quarter-final against either 22nd-seed Nicolas Jarry or Wild Card qualifier Diego Schwartzman awaits the winner of this matchup. Carlos Alcaraz continues his charge towards another tournament win this year and is looking unstoppable at the moment. The 20-year-old already has his second career Grand Slam under his belt after taking down Wimbledon back in July. Dimitrov has definitely looked sharp at the Shanghai Masters, winning both of his matchups in straight sets. Dimitrov has an overall record of six wins and two losses in the China circuit this year. He made the semi-finals of the Chengdu Open and the quarter-finals of the Beijing Open prior to this event. The 32-year-old has won 36 matches this year and has suffered defeat in 19 for a winning percentage of .655. His best finish this season came in Geneva where he finished as the runner-up to Nicolas Jarry.
