Bath Rugby are second in Pool B of the European Rugby Champions Cup. They travel to Cardiff for their second pool match with the home side in bottom place. Bath were home to Ulster in their opening pool fixture and ran out 37-14 winners. It didn't go well for them in the first half though and went into the break trailing 14-8 but scored 29 points without reply in the second period. Bath are currently second in the English Premiership and only behind leaders Sale Sharks on head-to-head results after a recent 11-9 away defeat. They have won five of their eight games in the English Premiership this season, including three of the last four. On their travels, Bath have two and lost a couple in the league this season.

Cardiff didn't get their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign off to a good start. The Welsh side were beaten 52-7 at Toulouse conceding seven tries and two of those were scored in the first nine minutes. That's left them bottom of the pool without a point to their name and two points behind the fourth place that would take them into the last 16. A loss at home to Bath would make qualification even more difficult than it already is and they are yet to play Harlequins, Racing 92 and Ulster. Cardiff are down at 12th place in the United Rugby Championship with only two of their seven games being won. Only one of their last five league games has been won and three out of four at home have been lost. We back Bath to win this weekend.
