Casper Ruud has made an excellent start to the European clay court season. He was the runner-up to Stefanos Tsitispas in Monte Carlo but then beat the Greek to win the Barcelona Open. He's seeded fifth in the Madrid Masters and takes on Cameron Norrie who is the 29th seed. Waiting for the winner in round four will be either Jakub Mensik or Felix Auger-Aliassime, both of whom are unseeded. Ruud is the world number six but third in the Live ATP Race. He's had a busy year and his second round win over Miomir Kecmanovic was his 30th victory of the year with only five games lost in two sets. That took his record on clay this year to 10-1. He leads Cameron Norrie 3-1 in previous meetings but lost their most recent match at this year's Australian Open. This is the first time they've met on clay.

Cameron Norrie is up to 27th in the live rankings so will be hoping to be seeded at Roland Garros. The British number one is hoping to build on his run to the quarter-finals in Barcelona last week. He didn't beat anyone ranked in the top 80 though. Norrie has reached one clay court semi-final this year. That was in Rio, a tournament in which he was the defending champion. Round two of this tournament saw him beat wild card Joao Fonseca in straight sets losing five games. This is much tougher though and we tip Ruud to get the win.
