Burnley - Arsenal: Form Analysis
One of the big talking points this season has been the strength of the newly promoted teams. On Matchday 9, all three newcomers secured wins, including Burnley, who pulled off a dramatic 3-2 victory over Wolves.
That result saw the Clarets move to 10 points (W3 D1 L5), five points clear of the drop zone, and they are now hoping to win three top-flight matches on the bounce for the first time since April 2022.
Notably, of the three newly-promoted sides, Scott Parker’s men are the highest scoring with 12 goals in nine games, but they have also conceded the most (17) - twice as many as Sunderland (7).
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 11 matches across all competitions (W10 D1)!
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been the most impressive team in the Premier League this season, now on 22 points after nine games (W7 D1 L1), and currently leading the chasing pack by four points.
The Gunners edged Crystal Palace 1-0 at home in the league last weekend and defeated Brighton 2-0 in the EFL Cup in midweek to extend their win streak to eight matches across all competitions.
The cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s side’s success this term has been their water-tight defence, which has now gone over 550 minutes without conceding a single goal across all competitions.

Burnley & Arsenal Squad Analysis
In just his second league start, Zian Flemming bagged a brace last week, and Parker will have a big call to make in attack this weekend, given that Lyle Foster came on to score the winner in the last match.
Left-back Quilindschy Hartman set up both goals for Flemming at Molineux and is now the joint-highest for assists in the Prem this season (4), alongside Jack Grealish and Mohammed Kudus.
Lesley Ugochukwu picked up a knock against Wolves, but reports suggest he is in contention this week. However, Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni and Connor Roberts are sidelined for the hosts.
Will we see a new centre-back pairing for Arsenal this weekend?
Arteta withdrew William Saliba at half-time against Palace due to an unspecified injury, and the France international was ruled out of the match against Brighton, where Piero Hincapie partnered Cristhian Mosquera in central defence.
Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Martinelli also picked up knocks against the Eagles, but only the latter is expected to sit out this match, which should see Leandro Trossard get a start.
Martinelli will now join fellow injury absentees Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the treatment room for the forseeable future.

Our Burnley vs Arsenal Prediction
With Liverpool faltering and Manchester City struggling for consistency, Arsenal are now the out-and-out favourites to win the Premier League this season, and few can argue that given their form of late.
The Gunners’ defence looks impenetrable right now, and they are the first English top-flight team in history to keep six clean sheets in the space of a month. We fancy them to extend that record in this match. Our Burnley vs Arsenal prediction is Arsenal wins & BTTS (NO).
