The Brooklyn Nets will be at home against the Sacramento Kings in the two’s next NBA regular season fixture. They arrive for the game sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference while the Kings are ninth in the West. The Nets have been in good form lately. They have won five times in their last seven games and are on a two-game winning run. This upturn in form however has come a little too late as they have already been eliminated from playoff contention. Kevin Ollie’s men, who have four regular-season games left, are now playing for pride. The Nets defeated the Pistons 113-103 last time out to begin a scheduled back-to-back stretch. It was the third successive match that they had scored over 110 points. Dennis Smith Jr, Cameron Johnson, Keita Bates-Diop and Dariq Whitehead will not be available here due to injuries.

The Kings have won the last three matchups with the Nets. This should have them confident as they seek to get back to winning ways. Mike Brown’s men have struggled to win games and have managed just two victories in their last six outings. They have lost their last two games and are coming off a narrow 101-100 defeat in Boston. Losing by one possession against the best team in the league should add to building up the Kings’ spirits ahead of this trip to Brooklyn. This slump has impacted heavily on Scaraento’s chances of avoiding the play-in. After their latest loss, they have now fallen two games back on the top six places. As it stands, the Kings will have to play and win two play-in fixtures if they are to make the playoffs proper.
