Hacken are already out of the Europa League after losing their first four games. They host group leaders Bayer Leverkusen who have already qualified for the knockout stages. Hacken have had a miserable campaign with just two goals scored and 13 conceded. Home results have seen them lose to second placed Qarabag 1-0 and 3-1 to Molde who are currently third in the table. The Wasps were most definitely stung in the reverse fixture against Leverkusen, losing 4-0 in their opening group game. Hacken recently ended their Swedish Allsvenskan campaign, ending the season in third place and will be in the Europa Conference League next year. They lost two of their last three league games and were beaten in four of their last six competitive fixtures.

Bayer Leverkusen are the group leaders with a 100 percent record from their four group games. They lead second placed Qarabag by six points and just one more will clinch winning Group G. Doing so will take them straight into the last 16 rather than the Knockout Play-off round against a team transferred from the Champions League. It's been an incredible season so far for the Black and Reds. They lead the German Bundesliga by two points, unbeaten and only dropping points against Bayern Munich. A win over Hacken will be their 14th consecutive win in all competitions. So far in this group they have scored 12 goals and conceded just two.
