Union Bordeaux Begles vs Harlequins FC Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions Cup

Bordeaux Begles host Harlequins in the last eight of the European Rugby Champions Cup. The winners will have an away tie in the semifinals against either top seeds Stade Toulousain or Exeter Chiefs. Bordeaux are seeded fourth in the knockout stages, one place higher than their opponents. They won Pool A with three of their four games being won. They certainly piled up the points with at least 36 being scored in each match, They even scored 40 when losing to Bulls in South Africa. The last 16 saw them host Saracens who they had already beaten at home in the pool stages putting 55 points past them. It was another comprehensive win last weekend as they beat the English Premiership side 45-12. Bordeaux are sixth in Top 14 and won eight of their ten home games in that league. 

Harlequins had a tougher match in the last 16. They beat Glasgow Warriors at home 28-24 but had led by 14 points at half time. The English Premiership side qualifiied for the knockout stages by finishing second in Pool B behind Stade Toulousain. They won both of their away games against Racing 92 (by just three points) and Cardiff. Harlequins are currently fourth in the English Premiership, the final quallifying place for the end-of-season play-offs. Two of their last three games in that league have been lost and three of their last four away fixtures. This is a tough game for them in France and we tip Bordeaux to win and defy a -17 points handicap.
