Bath Rugby begin their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign with a home game against Ulster on Saturday. Also part of Pool B are Toulouse, Cardiff, Harlequins and Racing 92 with the top four finishers all qualifying for the last 16. Bath are currently second in the English Premiership, only behind Sale Sharks on head-to-head results. Their most recent game saw them beat Exeter Chiefs 41-24 at home. That was their third win in four league games, the other being an 11-9 away loss to Sale. Home form for Bath has been strong with three of their four games being won. The other home game saw them beaten by Leicester Tigers but only by one point.

Ulster are seventh in the United Rugby Championship with four wins and three defeats. That has left them nine points behind leaders Leinster. Current form for Ulster isn't good with both of their two most recent games being lost. They were beaten 33-20 away at Glasgow Warriors and then began December with a home loss to Edinburgh who are now fifth in the table. Two of their three away games in the United Rugby Championships have been lost this season with the defeats coming in their last couple of fixtures. They have reached the last 16 of the European Rugby Champions Cup for the past two seasons and were quarter finalists in 2019 and 2020. This is a tough start for them and with Bath having home advantage and showing better form, we back them to get the win.
