After losing their respective opening fixtures, World No.8 Australia and fourth-ranked France will look to make fines as they collide in Round 2 of the inaugural Nations Championship on Saturday at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane. Wallabies and Les Bleus have both seen their recent Tests produce more than 63 total points, hence our prediction leaning towards a high scoreline. 

Australia failed to prove doubters wrong again as they opened their Nations Championship campaign with a defeat to Ireland last week. Wallabies led by five points in the first half but eventually fell 33–31 to the visitors after Sam Prendergast converted the decisive try.

That result made it five straight losses for the team. In the last three matches, Joe Schmidt's side have conceded 127 points, while scoring 83, taking their average total points per game to 70.0 

France got off to a disappointing start to their Nations Championship campaign against New Zealand, but they did exceed expectations after falling by just two points (34–32) to the Pacific giants. The Blues enter this clash on strings of high-scoring contests.

Their last three matches have produced an average of 83.3 points per contest, all of which ended with over 62.5 points. Two of their last four encounters with Australia have also crossed the 62-point benchmark in total points.
