Arthur Rinderknech vs David Goffin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

12th seed Arthur Rinderknech faces unseeded David Goffin in round three of the Winston Salem Open. Next up for the winner will be a quarter-final against either 16th seed Rinky Hijikata or unseeded Borna Coric. Here's our match prediction.

Rinderknech is up to 55th in the live rankings after he beat unseeded Christopher O'Connell in the second round of this hard court tournament. The Frenchman is in his fifth consecutive last 16 with a best performance of late being a semi-final in Atlanta.

That was his best result in ATP hard court tournaments in 2024. He did win a Challenger Tour final on this surface back in February but didn't beat any top 100 ranked players that week. He's had one previous match against David Goffin and he lost in straight sets.

That match was played in Marrakech this year but that was a clay court tournament. Goffin will hope to repeat that success on the hard courts of Winston Salem. He's risen to 87th in the live rankings after reaching the last 16 of this tournament.

The Belgian beat Jaume Munar in three sets in the first round, dropping the middle one. He then caused a shock in round two with a straight sets victory over the fifth seed Luciano Darderi. It's the first time in 2024 he's won two matches in an ATP Tour main draw.

Not since Wimbledon in 2022 has the former world number seven won three successive matches in an ATP Tour event. Rinderknech is the more consistent of these players and we tip him to get the victory.
