Seventh seed Anna Kalinskaya bids to reach her first quarter-final since June. Standing in her way in this Ningbo Open second round match is unseeded Yue Yuan. Here's our match prediction.

Kalinskaya is the world number 12 and in the same position in the WTA Live Race. The Russian is the fourth highest remaining seed in a tournament that saw the top three seeds withdraw from this hard court event.

The 25-year-old recently reached the last 16 of the China Open but her last quarter-final was on grass four months ago. For the winner of this match, their next opponent will be either unseeded Karolina Muchova or lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian.

This is her first match against Yue Yuan who is at 46th in the latest rankings and up two places in the live list. Round one of this tournament saw the Chinese player defeat qualifier Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets for the loss of six games.

The 26-year-old has won one hard court tournament this year. That was in Texas seven months ago but her current form isn't quite at that level. Three of her previous four matches had been lost before her first round win in Ningbo.
