Toulouse will feel they still have a chance at qualifying for Europe going into Ligue 1 matchday 24. Placed 10th, Les Violets will travel to 12th placed Angers on Sunday. Below is our prediction for this match.

Angers have pulled eight points clear of the bottom three and are just three points outside the top half. However, not all has been positive coming into this game.

Le SCO are fresh from elimination in the French Cup by struggling Reims. By then their wounds weren’t even healed from the 3-3 draw with Saint-Etienne in their latest league game.

Angers spurned a 2-0 lead at Saint-Etienne then in the end needed to score a third to salvage a point.

Toulouse will be looking to pounce on Angers’ inconsistencies here. They ended their own winless run with a 4-1 victory away to Le Havre.

With that result they put a halt to a run of six matches without a win across all competitions. As they are already out of the French Cup, Toulouse will be giving their all in Ligue 1 going forward.

Carles Martinez’s men have enjoyed playing away from home more. The win at Le Havre was their fifth unbeaten away match and they have three clean sheets in the process.

Les Violets have posted wins in four of their last eight away matches in Ligue 1.
