Alex Michelsen vs Christopher Eubanks Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

Just three days before his 20th birthday, 11th seed Alex Michelsen takes on wild card Christopher Eubanks. This is a match in the quarter-finals of the hard court Winston Salem tournament. Read on to discover our match prediction.

Michelsen has already had one early birthday present this week. The American is up to a career-high 51st in the world rankings. His preparations for the US Open have been going well with a recent quarter-final in Washington. 

He'll hope to go one round better in Winston Salem and is in the form to do so. This week has seen him beat Marton Fucsovics in straight sets. He then took on Zizou Bergs and won that match for the loss of just three games.

Christopher Eubanks has had a far more difficult route to this quarter-final. Two of his three matches played this week have gone to a final set. Round one saw him win only two games in his opening set against Adam Walton.

He made a good recovery from that position and won the next two sets. Round two saw him beat 14th seeded Hugo Gaston and only dropped five games. It was tougher in round three as he needed a final set to defeat 17th seed Roman Safiullin.

He won the first set in that match but eventually needed to win a third set tie-break to progress. He's now 106th in the live rankings, a rise of 14 places.  A win here will take him back into the top 100 but we tip Michelsen to win this in straight sets.
