Aleksandar Vukic vs Christopher Eubanks Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Newport Open

A place in the semi-finals of the Hall of Fame Open is being contested between fourth seed Christopher Eubanks and sixth-seeded Aleksandar Vukic. The scheduled opponent in the last four is either second seed Marcos Giron, qualifier Alex Bolt or unseeded Benoit Paire.

Eubanks is ranked 128th in the world but was 29th at the end of July 2023. The American is up to 115th in the live rankings after this run to the last eight of this grass court tournament. Last year saw Eubanks reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals but it's not gone so well in 2024.

The 28-year-old made it to the last eight in the Halle Open but then lost in his first match in Mallorca and also Wimbledon. This is his first tournament since then and he's played one match to reach this quarter-final.

That was against American wild card Ethan Quinn and he had to go to three sets to get the victory. The first set was won on a tie-break, the second dropped and then Eubanks won the decider for the loss of three games.

Aleksandar Vukic is the sixth seed so has had to play two matches so far this week. He's 65th in the latest ranking list and up to 59th in the live list. In the Live ATP Race, he's currently in 66th place, nearly 60 above his opponent.

This is his third grass court quarter-final of the year. He reached this stage in the Libema Open and went a round further at Eastbourne. At Wimbledon he was beaten in the second round by eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz.

So far in this tournament, Vukic has beaten Coleman Wong (losing just three games) and wild card Eliot Spizzini in straight sets. This looks tougher but we tip him to beat Eubanks.
