Afghanistan will look to get their first points of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup when they play United Arab Emirates on matchday three of Group D. This match between the fourth-placed ‘Afghan Atalans’ and the third-placed Arabs comes with our prediction of Rahmanullah Gurbaz scoring more than 25 runs.
Afghanistan have zero points after losing both their matches of the tournament so far. The UAE have two points from two matches (W1, L1) after a win over Canada on Friday.
The Afghans are almost out of the reckoning for the Super 8 stage, as losses to New Zealand (five wickets) and South Africa (by Super Over) have all but eliminated them. The defeat to the Proteas especially hurt them, as it came in the second Super Over.
