Compatriots Adrian Mannarino and Richard Gasquet, who are both unseeded, will duel next at the 2025 Open Occitanie. They will battle in the first round, with the winner of their fifth career meeting facing Tallon Griekspoor or Botic van de Zandschulp next. Below is our prediction for this match.

Adrian Mannarino has returned to Montpellier after a three-year hiatus. In his last appearance in this ATP 250 event, the Frenchman made it to the quarter-finals, his best-ever finish.

He will hope for a similar run to help halt his unimpressive start to the campaign. The 36-year-old has lost five times in six outings and is on a four-match losing run. His most recent setback came in the challenger circuit in Quimper.

This poor start has seen him drop a massive 33 places and out of the ATP top 100.

Gasquet is also having a poor start to the year. He has lost twice in three outings and is coming off a first-round exit at the Australian Open.

As he has had considerable success in the past in Montpellier, he will fancy his chances of making a winning start.

Gasquet has won four titles in this event, the record most. He also has defeated Mannarino three times in their previous four duels.

The 38-year-old, however, hasn’t won the title since 2016 and was defeated in the first round in his last two appearances. He starts the week ranked 132nd in the ATP.
