Can Luton Town move out of the drop zone in the Premier League? The 18th-paced Hatters take on Brentford at Kenilworth Road on Saturday in a crucial relegation battle. A home win and results going Luton’s way elsewhere could see them move out of the bottom three. Rob Edwards’ team were well-beaten last weekend, losing 5-1 away to Manchester City, but in their previous home game had defeated AFC Bournemouth 2-1. Goals are very much on the cards in this battle at the bottom, as Luton have not been involved in a 0-0 draw in the Premier League this season.

Brentford’s slump towards the foot of the table has been halted with a run of four games undefeated. The Bees have won just one of those games, a 2-0 win last week over Sheffield United. Those six points now see Brentford 15th, but with 32 points, seven clear of Luton Town in the relegation spots. A win here would therefore likely ensure their Premier League place for another year. Thomas Frank’s team have struggled away from home, losing four and drawing one of their last five road matches. They conceded 12 goals in those five games, scoring seven.
