Los Angeles FC and Vancouver Whitecaps meet at the Banc of California Stadium in this MLS fourth round encounter. The hosts are top of the table with seven points while the visitors are bottom of the table with just one point. Los Angeles have equalled their best ever start to a MLS season taking seven points from a possible nine in their opening three matches. They had an excellent 2-0 away win to Inter Miami in their last match giving them a record of two wins and a draw this season. Los Angeles have been very strong at home and are undefeated in their last five home matches stretching back to last season. Much of their success so far is due to the excellent form of Carlos Vela who has already scored three goals this season.

Vancouver Whitecaps are yet to win a match this season with a draw being their best result. They suffered a 2-1 loss in the last match against Houston Dynamo and it was most disappointing as they took the lead but still ended on the losing side. Only once before has Vancouver Whitecaps had a worst a worst start to an MLS season and that was back in 2019 when they lost their first three matches. Their biggest problem so far this season is their lack of goals as they have only found the back of the net once in their three matches.
