Manchester United vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Manchester United face Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League. The home side is keen to stay in front of Newcastle United in the final Europa League qualification spot with a win here. They come into the game having earned another FA Cup Final spot with a penalty victory over Coventry City last weekend. They then followed that with a 4-2 win over Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening. Erik Ten Hag’s team lie sixth in the Premier League table, three points ahead of Newcastle, but their goal difference of +1 is considerably poorer than Newcastle’s +15. The margin for error then is small in these final five games of the season.

Burnley still have hopes of survival and a run of just one defeat in their last seven games, drawing four, winning two, is their best form of the season. Burnley are currently three points behind Nottingham Forest in 17th and two behind Luton in 18th. They celebrated an excellent 4-1 away win over Sheffield United last weekend which kept them on the coattails of the two teams above them in the table. Saving themselves from the drop still looks a long-shot, but Vincent Kompany will be proud of how his team have battled, especially over the last few weeks. But with games to come against Newcastle United and Tottenham, in addition to the trip to Old Trafford, it looks a very difficult task to stay up for the Lancashire side.
