Celtic face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final this weekend. Brendan Rodgers side now sit atop the Premiership table, after a 3-0 win over St.Mirren in their last game. That result, and Rangers 0-0 draw at Dundee, ensures Celtic head into this semi-final in good spirits. In the Scottish Cup, Celtic have defeated Buckie Thistle 5-0, followed by a 2-0 win over St. Mirren and then a 4-2 win over Livingston to reach the semi-final. The Bhoys have rattled in 80 goals in the Premiership, plus 11 more in their three Scottish Cup games. However, they have conceded goals in eight of their last 12 League and Cup games.

Aberdeen come into this game unbeaten in their last four games, however the Dons have managed to score just three goals in those matches. Their last result being a 0-0 draw at home to Dundee. Peter Leven has found results tough to come by as caretaker boss, and Aberdeen announced Danish boss Jimmy Thelin will be their new permanent manager from the end of the season. Aberdeen defeated both Clyde and Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic 2-0 in their opening two Scottish Cup fixtures. Their most impressive win came in the quarter-finals, a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at Pittodrie. Whichever team progresses from this first semi-final will meet either Rangers or Hearts in the final at Hampden.
