We’re looking at the latest completed transfers and transfer news/rumours from the past week! Has your team made a big signing yet? What are some of the deals that are gaining steam? Let's dive deeper into the different storylines to keep an eye on and highlight a few of the key players that are in the news.

Transfer round up 24 June - 30 June

There wasn't a whole lot of action involving Premier League teams in the final week of the month as June comes to a close. However, with the transfer window for a majority of the other European leagues opening on July 1st, expect there to be plenty of deals done in the coming month.

Milos Kerkez - Liverpool (from Bournemouth)

  • Position: Left back
  • Age: 21
  • Nationality: Hungarian
  • Transfer fee: £40 million

The Reds have officially signed Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in a deal worth £40 million. The 21-year-old left back was one of the Cherries’ star players during the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Taking part in all 38 fixtures, Kerkez’s presence on the left flank was important to Bournemouth’s attack.

He ranked sixth in the team in chances created (36), fourth in the team in big chances created (8) and tied for the second most assists in the squad with five. Additionally, he chipped in with two goals. Kerkez will compete with the established Andy Robertson who is entering into the final year of his contract.

Joao Pedro - Chelsea (from Brighton)

Joao Pedro looks to be heading for Chelsea

  • Position: Striker
  • Age: 23
  • Nationality: Brazilian
  • Transfer fee (reported): £60 million

Chelsea appear to be putting the finishing touches on a move to bring over Brighton man Joao Pedro in a move worth £60 million. With the Brazilian heading on a flight to the USA to meet up with his new teammates, the official confirmation from the club is expected to come at any hour now. Pedro has racked up 30 goals and 10 assists in 70 appearances across all competitions in the last two seasons for the Seagulls.

He'll join a strike force which includes another recent signing in Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, although Nkunku's future with the club is now being called into question. Pedro has the ability to play multiple positions, whether it’s the lone striker, a second striker role or as the number 10.

As a bonus, Joao Pedro is expected to immediately be available for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as Chelsea prepare for their quarter-final fixture. The fans might be able to see their new man in just a few days!

Jamie Gittens - Chelsea (from Dortmund)

  • Position: Left wing
  • Age: 20
  • Nationality: English
  • Transfer fee (reported): £55 million pounds

It’s been a wild transfer window so far for Chelsea who have been making serious waves. While not yet announced by the club, it’s believed that Chelsea have agreed on a deal that would bring Borussia Dortmund’s young winger to Stamford Bridge in a transfer worth a reported £55 million.

Like Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens could also be available for Chelsea’s quarter-final matchup against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup should he complete his medical in time. With his signature, the Blues would be getting a quick-footed player and a tricky dribbler that is filled with potential. Gittens scored 12 goals for Dortmund across 49 appearances last season as he became the first-choice left winger for BVB.

Manchester United are pursuing Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United: targeting Brentford star

Bryan Mbeumo

  • Age: 25
  • Position: Right wing / Striker
  • Nationality: Cameroonian
  • Reported offer: £62.5 million

Manchester United look to be inching closer to a deal for Bryan Mbeumo. Brentford are seeking £65 million for the 25-year-old after a highly productive year.

Mbuemo scored 20 goals and laid on seven assists in 38 Premier League matches in 2024-25 for the Bees in what was a breakout season for the Cameroon international. It was the first time that Mbeumo had scored double-digit goals in the Premier League and he would go on to finish fifth in the golden boot race.

Brentford have reiterated that they will only sell their star man if the price is right and they wouldn’t rule out Mbeumo remaining at the club should a sufficient offer fail to materialise. Should they not be able to come to an agreement, the Red Devils are said to also be considering a move for former Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who now plays for Al Ahli. Toney had a successful first season in Saudi Arabia, notching 30 goals 44 appearances across all competitions and leading the club to its first ever AFC Champions League title.

Arsenal: many targets, little progress

The striker conundrum

It’s been a frustrating window for Arsenal fans so far. As we covered in our previous transfer roundup article, the club have already wrapped up impressive midfielder Martin Zubimendi. However, it’s a big-money striker that the Gunners’ faithful are clamouring over. Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres and Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko were thought to be the top two options, but the club appears to be further and further away from an agreement for either as each day passes.

This has resulted in Arsenal turning their attention to their ‘plan C’ in Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike. The Frenchman is said to be attracting plenty of interest from Premier League clubs with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all said to be in pursuit.

Eberechi Eze

Arsenal representatives have reportedly met with Eze to discuss the possibility of a transfer. The Gunners have been admirers of the England international for some time, although they could face competition for his signature from the likes of Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has a release clause of £67.5 million, of which Crystal Palace is likely not going to budge on. Eze’s stock is at an all-time high following a strong season but that heavy price tag could ultimately prove to be too steep for interested teams.
