Wales weren't in good form when this 2023 Rugby World Cup began. They go into their final match in Pool C top and already in the last eight. Now they take on Georgia (who are fourth and already eliminated) looking to win the pool. That would see them likely to face either Argentina or Japan in the quarter finals, a match they'd fancy winning. Wales have won their three matches played in this pool. A big improvement after being beaten in five of their last seven matches. It's gone well for them in France though with a hard-fought win over Fiji, a 20-point victory against Portugal and then defeating Australia 40-6. Only a bonus point is needed to secure top spot but they will hope to get through a lot more comfortably than that.

Georgia have only three points from as many games in this pool. They can't make it through to the quarter finals nor can they finish third and qualify for the next Rugby World Cup. However, they do know that last November they beat Wales. Whether they can do so again in this match is doubtful. They only won that match by a single point and only four of the Welsh team that played that match are around in the new-look Wales team. Georgia have already lost to both Australia and Fiji and were only able to draw with Portugal. We go for Wales to win this on a -14 handicap points.
